Timeless since 1961. The 1461 shoe marched off the production line a year after our Original 1460 boot — and it’s never missed a beat. Classic and versatile, the shoe is built from Smooth leather, which looks great polished to a shine or scuffed and well-worn. Our bouncing sole is secured with distinctive yellow welt stitching, and the wide, rounded toe ensures all-day comfort — whatever you’re up to.

Material

Smooth - durable and famously stiff to start, this leather can be polished to a dapper shine or artfully scuffed-up depending on your preference.

Care Instructions

Wipe away dirt using a damp cloth. Apply a neutral or correct colored wax based shoe polish. Buff with a Dr. Martens Shoe Brush to restore shine as desired.

Construction

This is a Goodyear-welted product. The upper and sole are heat-sealed and sewn together, not merely glued like many footwear constructions.
